I’ve been writing and producing the radio advertising for Snow Summit for a number of years now. They’re a great client, and they let me do just about anything I want, which is fabulous.
The newest spot started running this morning. We’ve already gotten our first complaint!
Here’s a sample from Bill’s email. Bill was pretty steamed!
Whoever is the brain child of this idea should be given a pink slip in their stocking for x-mas. That does not even come close to the lack of sensitivity shown by that person or persons. People do not fight for our first amendment rights to allow people like this idiot to come up with the dialogue for this commercial.
Oh, that first amendment thing again.
It’s a slippery slope, you know? Because it has to mean all speech, and not just speech you like. People miss that part sometimes.
I could say that people don’t fight for our first amendment rights so that anyone who doesn’t like a commercial can call the writer an idiot and try to get them fired at Christmas. But now I’m just nitpicking.
