Update
Some of you have emailed me asking to see pictures of my swollen mangled face. While these requests were couched in a sugary veneer of sincere concern, I sense that the real motivation here is your own damned amusement.
As you can see, I am still pretty bruised and not all that pretty. But I am starting to get stronger, and can actually chew again. The worst part is yawning, which feels a little like setting your chin down on a Benihana table. Since yawning is so unbearable, I'm staying away from Kate Hudson movies.
Mr. KABC wrote to me last week and asked if I would be up to doing his show next Friday. I can't tell you how honored I am. I'm so flattered he would want me back so soon.
I mean, it's not like I have much to talk about these days, though I suspect no one ever gets tired of those funny surgery stories, do they? And that first crap after a week of Vicodin, well, that's some Garrison Keillor style world-class storytelling right there.
But I do have a few things to say. I always do.
Anyway, if all goes well, I'll be on KABC this coming Friday, 10:00 PM - 1:00 AM (or some portion thereof), hanging with the wonderfully generous Mr. KABC (AM 790).
And in just a few days, the show I did with him on 12/15 will be posted to the archives, along with my last show at KFI, 11/30.
By the way, I take delight in saying that the 11/30 show is possibly the worst show I ever did, so being cancelled shortly thereafter makes me feel like I left them with a little something special.
