Roger's Track O' The Week
This week Roger has combined four of my favorite things: the non-singing non-star, the highly dramatic "spoken word" song, a 1st person near-death experience, and anyone named Wink.
"Well, last Saturday was the very last day I will ever trim a tree.
I was about 5' off the ground, and had to get one last branch that was just out of reach. Instead of getting down and moving the ladder, I leaned a little too far and the ladder slowly began tilting to one side.
I suddenly realized I was going down. In that brief moment, I thought, "This might be it. This might be the last thing I ever see. I am going to die."
And in that brief moment when I came tumbling to earth, I thought, "Will my family know what to do if I die? Probably not. " But then I realized 'Id be dead, so the hell with it. It's their problem.
Luckily, Wink Martindale doesn't have to worry about things like this. He's already put a lot of thought into what he wants done with his dead and rotting carcass. And as if that weren't enough, he's even put it to music.
So here's Wink himself singing, "To Remember Me By", in which he carefully explains who should get what part of his body, and why.
