Roger's Track O' The Week

Roger, in a fit of industry, has provided us with two tracks today in an effort to illuminate both sides of the war issue. He’s just that good. And as if that weren’t enough, he’s also today’s guest curator at Otis Fodder’s excellent 365 Days Project. Let this be a lesson to you young people out there. Amazing things can be accomplished when you’re out of work and hooked on painkillers.

This week, with current events being what they are and all, I was inspired to pay homage to both sides of the issue.

First, for all the blood-thirsty, war-mongering, jingoistic gun-loving peace-is-for-pussies Fascists, here is little Craig Smith with Son of a Green Beret. Get on your best brown shirt and put on those jackboots; you’re going to goose-step all over the house to this one! Turn the balance on your stereo all the way to the right, or just blow the left ones away once and for all.

And, for the lilly-livered, yellow-bellied, French-loving pinko Commie peaceniks, we have a lovely rendition of Imagine covered by an anonymous artist. After hearing it there will be no doubt in your mind why he decided to remain so. Feel free to put on your tie-dye, burn some incense or what have you, and turn the balance on your stereo all the way to the left.

Sorry I couldn't find anything for you middle-of-the-road, centrist, moderate, intellectual elitist dick-heads who just can't seem to make up your mind about anything. I'll bet you can't even decide which one of these songs you hate more. You guys can keep both your speakers on.

Roger
