Happy Easter

Being half-Jewish (or a demi-Jew, if you prefer), I have seen my fair share of Seders and Easter hams. Usually at the same time. Mom was raised Pentecost, dad was raised Orthodox Jew, and by the time they had me, they were both atheists. Oy Vey Maria, was I confused.But I arrived at a deeper understanding of religion as a result of being on the outside looking in. It all boiled down to a few simple truths. The most important of which was this: it sucks to be a Jew on holidays.

I mean, try to argue that with a straight face. Easter kids get giant heaping baskets filled with chocolate and toys. Passover kids have to eat MATZOH for God's sake. And don't give me that what-about-chocolate-covered-matzoh crap either, cause I ain't buying it. You can keep your macaroons and your jelly rings and your spongecake. I'll take the giant caramel nougat nut cluster eggs and stuff my mouth with peeps 'til I puke. That's what I call religion!

Of course, that's neither here nor there. The important thing is, I'm going on vacation and I won't be posting for a few days. I'll be back next weekend.

In the meantime, I created a new Multimedia category today that I hope will amuse you. I call it, "Those Darn Homos!"

It was inspired by an email from new visitor. He sent me several tracks from an album called "Homosexuality in the American Male", which was apparently released on Probe Records. Heh. Probe.

Anyway, it's a small category for the moment, but I hope it will grow, as there is so much weird propaganda from that period on the subject. If you can point me to any, please let me know.
