Roger's Track O' The Week
For some reason, I completely forgot Roger's Track of the Week yesterday. I don't know what the hell happened there. Apparently, all that Immodium has left me mentally constipated. Fortunately, Roger has given us two lovely tracks this week, so yesterday's oversight will just be a bad memory. Like those clams in Puerto Vallarta.
Since we were off last week, I thought we could pile on a little more crap this week.
First up, a lovely duet by Mel and Dave with their cover of Spinning Wheel. If you're familiar with this popular hit, you might want to help these two out, because they obviously aren't. Dave seems to have a hard time picking which note to sing and Mel (not short for Melody) would to well to familiarize herself with the lyrics.
Next, for your disapproval, we offer a stunning rendition of Going Out of My Head covered by the performance artist Raphael. This performance has all the chutzpah of Anthony Newly with none of the talent.
If this would have been playing on a conventional phonograph turntable, I would have been compelled to ball up my dirty sweat socks and hurl them across the room, hitting the tonearm and sending the diamond head needle zipping across the surface of the rest of the album, never to be played again.
Fortunately it's an MP3, so just type command-Q.
– Roger
