I know I was bitching a few days ago about having to find a Halloween costume this year, but I think I really pulled it out.
Last night I went to a party dressed as Liza Minnelli. You may remember I bought her actual gloves off of Ebay last year, so of course I had to wear those. I think they made a tremendous difference.
It was sort of like that old movie, where the guy gets the hands of a dead virtuoso and can suddenly play the piano. Except in this case, I found myself rummaging through my hos’s medicine cabinet, looking for painkillers.
Before I went to the party, I bought a plastic bottle of Smirnoff at Sav-On. I dumped it out and refilled it with Evian, and walked around guzzling it all night. It was quite a visual.
I enjoyed the effect of slugging water out of a vodka bottle so much, that I’ve decided to make this my sports bottle at the gym. I’m just going to set it up on the treadmill, and see how long it takes before someone makes a comment.
And to make it all even more perfect, Mick agreed to dress as David Gest, and I think we made the perfect couple in crisis.
