You Asked For It

You asked for it

As you may or may not know, last Friday night I went on Mr. KABC's show with my boyfriend, Patrick.

For several weeks now, I've been getting a lot of email about Patrick. People have been very curious about him, which I guess I can understand. I talk about my life a lot, and I'm grateful that anyone is interested.

So when Mr. KABC (shown here with the gift bag that held a gallon container of 4 bean salad) invited him on, we talked it over and decided it might be entertaining, or at least embarassing for me, which amounts to the same thing. The response I've been getting has been really interesting. It seems to be split between people who are genuinely happy that I'm happy, and people who just can't wait to tell me that his appearance marks the end of my career.

Well, let me tell you something. My career was over years ago. And I didn't need anyone else to help me do it.

This was just for fun. And we had fun. So fuck you.

By the way, since he came on the show with me, I've been getting a lot of email asking to see what he looks like. So here we are.

The Amazing Futon of Love

In other news, The AFOL has been viewed almost 1500 times on Ebay, and as of this writing, is up to $294.00! Can you imagine?

I keep re-reading the auction to make sure I didn't describe it wrong. But no, it says right there that's it's a piece of shit covered with plaster dust. So legally, I'm in the clear.

A portion of the proceeds of this futon (all but my expenses) will go to my favorite charity, Project Angel Food. I've already advanced them $200 toward the proceeds, and I'd love to be able to give them more.

If you want to make a tax-deductible purchase of a futon that will give you hours of happiness while enriching the lives of others, you've found your opportunity.

On the other hand, I did get an email from a man who wanted to know if we would dispose of it for him if he happened to win it. We can do that. In fact, that's probably the most charitable thing to do all around.

Some people seem to believe that we in California are immune from weather related disasters, but the attached photo proves otherwise.
