Kentucky Democrat Beshear Ousts GOP Gov. Fletcher

Kentucky Democrat Steve Beshear gained a governor’s seat for his party in Tuesday’s election, trouncing Republican incumbent Ernie Fletcher.
Beshear, a former Kentucky attorney general and lieutenant governor, led Fletcher by 59 percent to 41 percent with nearly all precincts reporting.
