I found my underpants

March 12th, 2008 · 25 Comments

Well, we’re just about all unpacked now.

The cardboard boxes have been broken down, the Keurig is plugged in, and as a bonus, I found my underpants last night in a box of CDs. I don’t know if it means anything, but Tony Danza was in the crotch.

I love it here more than I can say. We have a washer and dryer, the dogs have two patios and I have my own little studio downstairs.

Most importantly, I’m near a Gelsons again. Thank you, baby Jesus in the hay.

Speaking of my office, I made a little tactical error there.

I thought if I could see everything, I could be more organized about where it all goes. So I dragged all the boxes marked “OFFICE” into the room, closed the door and unpacked them.

It took me about 15 minutes to crawl out.

I can’t actually find my desk, though I have it on good authority that it’s in there. So I think it will be a few days until I’m able to podcast again. I plan on using Sunday to get it all set up and running. I would probably have been able to get it done this week, but I have to write and produce a new radio spot for Big Bear on Friday, and that’s going to take whatever energy I have left – which isn’t much after watching this last night.

Speaking of terrifying television, look at this post on Craigslist yesterday:

If you don’t think that’s going on my Tivo season pass, you don’t even know me.

speaking of television – Mary Ann (of “the Professor and…) got busted for 420 (marijuana). Gilligan got busted earlier when he lived in hawaii. They were lucky the Professor was able to construct a bong out of coconut shells and taro root….

    btw: FIRST

It’s cool the way they tell us “Clear” or “Not Clear” on those clips. Otherwise, I just wouldn’t know whether the people made it through or not.

Human Tetris will not be as funny in English. What they need to do is use the Japanese version and add the voice overs they use in Iron Chef. Now that would be funny.

“I decline the title of Iron Cook and accept only the lesser title of Zinc Saucier, which I just made up. Also, it comes with double prize money.”

Just imagine how much wider the cutouts are going to have to be to accomodate fat American asses. That doubles the funny factor right there.

And you know that after the first season there will be special editions of it. Celebrity Rehab Tetris. Dysfunctional Family Tetris. Trump Tetris. Battle of the Network Stars Tetris.

It will be a new golden age.

That’s the second biggest wading pool full of urine I’ve ever seen.

I’d like to see a Japan Probe team of Johnny Knoxvill, the Knuckle-Walker from Springer and “Two-Ton” ( you need to be a Minion) But I think the latter may have passed on to the endless cream pie in the sky which case I’d elect Oprah.

I’m the on who sent april that adrienne barbeau cd she played on KFI. I burned her a copy, but then said ‘what the hey’ and sent her the original and kept the copy. AB busting out tunes by nanci griffith and judy collins was bad, but her song from ‘grease’ was horrifying . She got an tony nomination for singing it on broadway!!
Has anyone seen Ax-men. on the history channel? it is about lumberjacks. There was a bbc documentary years ago about lumberjacks. It aired here in the states on PBS. The lumberjacks in america don’t sing about being drag queens like their british counterparts.

BTW, all shapes and sizes for contestants???? Whose up for it. C’mon let aprilwinchel.com sport a team. two others and myself. I’m still fairly limber. In fact in my teens I used to be able to suck my own.., well that is a little too much information.

Gelsons, Gelsons, Gelsons, Gelsons – ALWAYS with the Gelsons! I could just plotz my borscht up any minute right here, with all that with the GELSONS.

Kristy Lee Cheesecake is Dolly on helium? That’d be quite the vocal feat – no, wait, now, that cliche was already on John Oswald’s “PLUNDERPHONICS” CD … ah, yes, the shimmering halcyon era of yore … Those Drifting Soulless Nineties.

I have my own version of gotta-see-it-all, & no, it does NOT involve a nymphet riding a brass pole. Or a 144-shelf matrix of shrink-wrapped Beanie Babies for that matter.

Phooey on human Tetris: human Space Invaders owned it waaaaaay back in ‘06 or so. I saw it with my own eyes on my (P-)YouTube. Now whip up a Nippon-o-vision Sophomore Sorority edition of THAT sucker, using paintballs, & even MY old-media despise might go on a coffee break.

Gutless Update : they DID wind up doing the organ-donor show in Das Nederlanden; knowing the Dutch & their wacky ways, my churlish intuition tells me that poodle got picked up for renewal, too. Dirty skunks rejected my title suggestion of “Days Of Our Tripes” to boot.

Ugh, yow, finding your ginch on Tony Danza’s mug – yeah, like there’s a grand total of ZERO “Who’s The Boss” jokes I’m aborting now. That didn’t earnestly beg for death first, I mean.

    Happy Studiohood!

We just moved into new digs last Friday, ourselves, so I can relate to what you are saying, sister! All of the boxes that contain things that neither of us remember packing are in my office…I lost a cat in there somewhere. I can hear her mewing but cannot locate her. She’ll come out when she gets bored in there or hungry, I am told. If it starts to smell funny, I am moving again.

The cable company told me that they couldn’t send anyone out to hook me up for five days because of some gawd-forsaken merger crap. Then I see not one, not two, but THREE cable guys in two days, doing the same kind of set up I needed in the three apartments surrounding mine! I asked and asked and asked, but their main office said that they couldn’t make and exception because they were “overbooked”. Yesterday, a cable guy that I had seen before came and hooked mine up finally…go fig.

    I need a drink…anyone?

“…one of the most outrageous, funny and challenging game shows ever seen on television.”

I think these claims are a little grandiose. Especially the “ever seen on television” part. Although, I will have to say it was very entertaining, and I couldn’t stop watching it. I hate to say this, but I’m old enough to have watched “The Gong Show” when it was originally broadcast and I think IT is the most outrageous, funny and challenging game show ever seen on television. JMHO! =)
