The”African American” family that lives on the other side of my duplex has African portraits hanging all over, African art, sculptures, have bumper stickers with such quips as “Black Princess” and plays tons of R&B.

One of their kids is named “Ivory”.

What I want to know is what is so racist about this list???

Afro-Americans do tend to have names different from the names that Caucasians, Asians, Mexicans, or even Scandinavians have (yes I realize I am mixing races with nationalities).

If I was Afro-American, a list like this could be as helpful as a list a Caucasian might use to pick a name like Susan, Betty, or Ann.
