In 2000, black voters favored Gore over Bush 92-8.
In 2004, they supported Kerry over Bush 89-11.
97-3 isn’t that much of a change in the typical Democrat/Republican split amongst black voters.

Since “no on 8 “got 48 percent of the vote and “yes on 2″ – you remember, the one about factory farming – got 62 percent of the vote, does that mean that Californians like chickens more than homosexuals?
