Today’s newly archived show is from May 20, 2001.
I haven’t listened to this one yet, but in looking over the index of the show, I can see that there is at least one thing that makes this show special: it’s the first time I played Mary Schneider on the air.
Looking back, I believe this was the start of my yodeling fixation. If you listened to the show back then, you may remember that yodeling became something of an obsession for me.
And now, thanks to the diligent efforts of longtime ex-listener Craig, we have the exact date that I began to lose my mind, as well as my job.

Forget the value of ‘Tijuana Bibles’ I’ve been put in charge of liquidating the coins from my grandparents estate. My dad is the executor. 2 silver bars and 5 rolls of 25 1.oz silver coins was the bulk of it (about $5000 dollars worth) so everybody thought. I just discovered 15 gold 1.0z coins (krugurands, maple leafs etc) that nobody else in the family knows about. At over $900/oz that is some serious cash that I could siphon off and not split 9-ways.

I hate to contradict, April, but you in fact played Mary Schneider a couple of months earlier when Roy was still with you. I know because I just listened to it the other day. Still, what’s a few months between yodelers?

My favorite part of this was during the opening when you talked about Hobo Kelly. OMFG. I used to love that show also.
