Birds on the Wires from Jarbas Agnelli on Vimeo.
“Reading a newspaper, I saw a picture of birds on the electric wires. I cut out the photo and decided to make a song, using the exact location of the birds as notes (no Photoshop edit). I knew it wasn’t the most original idea in the universe. I was just curious to hear what melody the birds were creating.”

I remember Steve Allen doing this very thing many, many years ago. And lately there’s been a PBS self-promo based on the same concept.

I’m not a sappy person, but that filled me up with hope. Phony 2009, post 9/11, birthers/deathers, shooting up schools kind of hope… but still. Simply lovely.

Kanye West just interrupted Jarbas Agnelli to say that he’s happy for him, and he’s gonna let him talk in a minute, but Alfred Hitchock did a much better video with birds in it decades ago.
